Many a parent has advised their child, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” So that’s similar to being politically correct, right?
Wrong.
Political Correctness – PC – was invented during the brutal dictatorship of Vladimir Lenin in Russia. The man some credit with this technique of social engineering was Felix Dzerzhinsky, nicknamed Iron Felix.
He is also credited as the architect of the Red Terror and the Decossackization. The Red Terror was just as is sounds – the murder of vast numbers of citizens, for perceived disagreement with state policies, or, even more effectively, for no reason at all. In later years, Stalin became notorious for murdering even his supporters. Felix also headed up the first two incarnations of the Soviet secret police ─ the Cheka and the OGPU. This man was not worried about hurting people’s feelings.
According to Wikipedia, the Cossacks were a semi-nomadic and semi-militarized people …were allowed a great degree of self-governance in exchange for military service …were particularly noted for holding democratic traditions.
Hmmm. Not the kind of people who take kindly to abject enslavement. You might say they were Politically Incorrect. Let’s call this “old school PC”. It’s now much improved – indeed, Charlton Heston said, “Political correctness is tyranny with manners”.
The Bible says there is nothing new under the sun; and Felix may have gotten his idea from the French Revolution, when they changed the names of the 12 months and decreed 3 weeks in a month, 10 days in a week, and 10 hours in a day. It’s all about naming and disorienting. Sidenote: The Bible is typically not PC in our present times.
There is a famous booklet (50 pages) about PC titled Political Correctness: A Short History of an Ideology, edited by William S. Lind. The PDF is available from several websites, and well worth reading, especially for an overview of Cultural Marxism and The Frankfurt School.
Lind begins with Russell Kirk’s condemnation of all ideologies, explaining that when reality disagrees with an ideology, it is reality which must change, not the ideology. Lind then writes, “America itself never had an official, state ideology – up until now.” The PC topics he cites are hot button issues you are well familiar with.
He describes the Cultural Marxist process of Deconstruction, in which the analysis of text, past or present, “proves” that a particular group has been oppressed, regardless of the true meaning of the words. This phony process seems scientific, but it always leads to preordained conclusions.
“[PC] tolerates a certain amount of criticism, even gentle mocking. It does so through no genuine tolerance for other points of view, but in order to disarm its opponents, to let itself seem less menacing than it is. The Cultural Marxists do not yet have total power, and they are too wise to appear totalitarian until their victory is assured.”
Let’s visit a few examples of these “gently mockable” results of a century of PC:
The word man as a prefix or suffix is not PC. A manhole is now a maintenance hole.
Dennis the Menace is no longer armed with a slingshot, or water pistol, or pea shooter – just a boyish grin.
Easter eggs are now to be called “Spring spheres” to not offend those who don’t recognize Easter. And, of course, a Christmas tree is now a Holiday tree.
“Job losses” are to be called “Job restructuring”.
“Jungle” is to be called “Rainforest”.
“Insane” is to be called “Reality challenged”.
You’ve seen them before. But this is not funny. You know about the young man at Penn State who joined the girl’s swim team and beat everyone and broke numerous records. Those girls were heartbroken. Some of those parents need scholarship money to make unaffordable college affordable.
I just broke the PC rule by calling him a young man.
The schemers who foist these burdensome and confusing rules upon us, dictating how we communicate with each other do not care about women, or gays, or cripples. They only care about themselves because they are psychopaths, who by definition have no empathy for others.
You are probably shocked I used the word cripple. We’re trained not to. It made me nervous doing it. But know this: we’re now entering a world where I can’t call a boy swimmer a boy; and I used to be a boy swimmer! Forcing a populace to say black is white and up is down is an old communist ploy to demoralize and thus weaken.
This is about naming and framing. Framing is an important propaganda technique. Put humorously, it’s the young man who murdered his parents and then appealed for sympathy from the judge because he is a now an orphan.
The grand PC issues are designed to be unassailable, e.g. to say that a married woman should be a homemaker is non-PC. However, logic dictates that a married woman should not be anything specific in all cases, so the whole issue is false. Some are, some aren’t – get over it. This design is similar to the technique of partial hangout in propaganda – one must present 90% truth to hide the 10% lie. Framing comes into play by stating “a married woman should [whatever]” and not allowing alternative scenarios.
Let’s focus on the word “correct”.
In old school PC, the correct vote would be for Comrade Stalin. What about now? When we go to the polls and vote on a State Proposal matter, is there a “correct” way to vote? No, and that’s why PC is not compatible with democracy and liberty.
Let’s apply what we’ve learned to the Covid Era.
Wearing masks and standing 6 feet apart became PC. Sure, there were mandates, but oftentimes it was your fellow citizen who monitored you and scolded you for non-compliance. This is social engineering at its finest.
Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine and vitamin D became non-PC. We now know thousands of lives were lost. Heck, some of us knew it then. Deaths! Not nitpicking word usage.
The Covid Pandemic was described to us as new and unique, never happened before; and the drastic measures which ensued certainly never happened before. How then could anything be designated “correct”, let alone PC? This is plain stupid. The New Normal was declared five minutes after the pandemic began. Who thinks like that? Nobody, unless they’re conniving and plotting.
At an early stage of the vaccine availability, it was NOT-non-PC to wish that the un-vaxxed would be turned away from hospitals and denied health insurance coverage.
Steve Kirsch is one of the outstanding truth promoters of the Covid debacle. Please read his post “How Wikipedia transformed me into an evil person in just 4 days”
PC to non-PC in 4 days! Who has their finger on that switch?
Here’s a quote from Yuval Noah Harari, the lovely person who says we are hackable animals and free will be soon obsolete:
“Censorship no longer works by hiding information from you; censorship works by flooding you with immense amounts of misinformation, of irrelevant information, of funny cat videos, until you're just unable to focus.”
The PC swamp we are wading through is the irrelevant information. It’s busy work for dummies and hotheads. Don’t be a sap. Say what you believe and believe what you say.
